We used to frequent West Lake Houston Automotive until we moved away 17 years ago, and we were always pleased with their work and prices. Now we are back, and dropped off our Ford Excursion for some much-needed brake work. Our truck was ready when they said it would be, their prices were more than reasonable, and I am completely satisfied with their work. Let me restate that -- they did an awesome job and I couldn't be happier! The staff was nice and friendly, too. I also talked with the mechanic who performed the work on my vehicle, and I trust him.

I brought my vehicle in at 11:30am for an oil change and brake job. I asked the person who received me if the work would take more than several hours, and I was told it would be done in the afternoon. I said that sounds good and went on my way. I had not heard anything by 3:00pm, so I called and i was told they tried to call me and they left me a message. I had my cell phone with me the entire day. I did not receive a phone call or message. The attendant then told me the work that was needed to be completed. I was hesitant because i had somewhere to be at 6:00pm. The attendant assured me that it would only take another 1 and 1/2 hours to complete, because it was disassembled. I agreed and showed up to the shop at 4:40pm only to find that my vehicle was still disassembled. The same attendant told they had completed the work and it would take 20 minutes to reassembled. Then this attendant went home. I waited until 5:30 until my vehicle was complete. I was very unhappy. I expressed my frustration to the new attendant, who was very helpful and understanding. There was a miscommunication on the total. The first attendant gave me a total of $379.00, but when i was going to pay i was told the total was $397.00. The second attendant adjusted the total, and gave me a free complementary oil change on my next visit. I started out having trouble, but i left completely satisfied. I was very happy to see my business is appreciated. Thank you.

They were polite and the place was very clean. I went in to get a nail taken out of my tire and they didn't even charge me for the repair.

They worked me in for my 75K maintenance and that was great. However, I was told that I also needed to have a coolant flush and a new air filter. Aren't those on the maintenance schedule for cars? And, if so, why do I need them done outside of the maintenance schedule? I come to WLHA instead of a dealer because this is what the dealer always did - add on to the maintenance schedule.

Wonderful job taking care of my sons Ranger. A lot of work had to be done and the truck drives beautifully! We are all very happy.
